1.4. Tariff Numbers, Riskiness Groups
One of the most important pillars of EKÁER notifications are the tariff numbers. It is especially important to set the appropriate tariff number for each item involved, but you also need to make some basic setups, that are relevant to the application.
1.4.1. Riskiness Groups
With the help of the search function please find EKÁER Riskiness Groups list.
Let’s create any number of groups along your logic. Later you can classify the tariff numbers into these riskiness groups, and the characteristics of the group will ultimately decide whether the products covered y the given tariff number are risky for EKÁER or not. In addition, they specify the number of characters that will be included in the EKÁER notification for the tariff numbers that will be included in this group. (For non-risky products, for example 4 characters are sufficient.)
It is recommended to create at least two groups: one for the risky items, and another one for the non-risky items. Of course, you can create more detailed categories too, than these are. Eg.: risky food products, risky non-food products etc.
You can add a new line to the list using the ‘New’ button or the ‘Edit List’ option.
- Code – enter a short ID of a few characters
- Description – short description of the riskiness group
- Risky – tick the field, if the riskiness group will cover a certain group of tariff numbers, which are risky for EKÁER
- Tariff No. Grouping – in addition to the fact of risk, riskiness groups are also useful because, based on the information provided here, we will be able to shorten tariff numbers and merge product lines later.
From 2021, 8 characters setup is a must!
Based on these, for example, if you enter 8 in the field, for the tariff numbers belonging to the given riskiness group, the first 8 characters will be used on the EKÁER document in the aggregated rows page.
1.4.2. Classification of Tariff Numbers
Once the EKÁER Riskiness Groups have been created, the Tariff Numbers should be classified into one category at a time.
Open the Tariff Number list with the help of the search function, and perform the classification as follows:
Select the appropriate line from the dropdown list in the Riskiness Group Code field. Do this for each Tariff Numbers. (It is recommended to use Configuration Packages function (RapidStart) for uploading bulk data.)
In case you do not specify the Riskiness Group for a Tariff Number, the application will not be able to decide whether the given product is risky or not, or it will not be able to perform tariff number character shortening when preparing the EKÁER aggregated lines.
1.4.3. Aggregated descriptions
The official description of a Tariff Number is usually complex and long. To create and send an EKÁER notification, it’s sufficient to provide a shorter, relevant description, which describes the products included in a certain Tariff Number.
To do this in Business Central you have the option to enter short names that the module will use when merging product lines. (Thus, if we shorten the Tariff Number to 4 characters, the short name given to 4 characters will be used in aggregated lines list.)
To set up short descriptions, please use the search function and find Tariff No. Merged Descriptions list.
Create new lines by using ‘New’ button or choose ‘Edit List’ option.
Enter the Tariff No, then type the Description. You can expand the list anytime.
